ATL PotUS: 1913 onwards

im trying to figure out who the presidents of the united states of north america (USNA) are in my ATL after a certain point in time, in this case, following taft's exit from office. i'll list off the difficulties that ive come to for this aspect of my ATL:

  1. the earliest im wondering about is kind of a takeoff of TL-191, but could teddy roosevelt be elected to a third term? its not because i thinks he's the best president, but simply because he's my favorite one. this could also impact FDR later if congress decides a president can only be elected twice after teddy's third term
  2. i imagine wilson would still be elected, but there's no WWI for the US to get involved in, so would he be re-elected or would his opponent, charles hughes, become president instead?
  3. following the second term of wilson or the presidency of hughes, i imagine the TL would go as it did IOTL because there's no major departures concerning the US from this time onwards, until 1941 when a major war with spain erupts in central and south america in 1941 (its supposed to be analogous to the pacific theater of WW2)
  4. on to FDR. he'd probably get his first term from '33-'37, and again from '37-'41, but could he be elected again if (assuming a third teddy term doesnt limit terms to two) there's no overseas war affecting an ally? aside from the aforementioned spanish-american war, there's no other conflicts similar to WWII
  5. the spanish-american war is planned to go on to 1945, and assuming FDR has only two terms, would a different president be able to effectively lead the country during a war like that? or would the war go on a bit longer?
  6. after that, there;s eisenhower, who would probably still be elected because of his role in the spanish-american war, but there's no korean and vietnam wars and no cold war that the US gets involved in, so would eisenhower be re-elected? what about kennedy, LBJ, nixon, ford, and reagan?
  7. since the cold war was over at this time, i dont think there would be that many changes to the elections of HW bush and clinton, and W would probably get his first election. but there's no 9/11 here, and consequently no war with iraq and/or afghanistan, so what are bush's chances of re-election here?
  8. as for the current recession, im honestly not sure how the previous events would affect this or the election of either barack obama or john mccain, or if the 2008 election would even be like our own because of no middle eastern conflict. ideas here?
for the record, there's also a fair amount of butterfly nets floating around my ATL, so the changes may not be as drastic as one thinks. if there's any question whatsoever, ask and i'll answer as best i can. ive only just earlier today started work on the USNA presidential elections of my ATL, so i understandably havent done much work on it yet

If TR was elected for a third term it would have to be in the Progressive Party because he promised the Republicans he wouldnt. That means a rise of Progressivism...which is a TL im doing...so just uh...dont do that.

well then could you either:

  1. allow me to use that same basic idea? its not the major focus, and the timeline is pretty different than just different PotUS elections, or,
  2. help me come up with something else that could result from teddy being elected three times? maybe some candidate for the progressive party's presidency at a later point in my ATL could turn out to be a klan member (maybe that guy who completely ruined their image?) or something
as an aside, i was planning for roosevelt to be relieved of command in cuba after san juan hill because of a patton-like instance where he gets mad at some soldiers for goofing around. consequently, the following battle that would have allowed america to annex cuba to be a failure (im having trouble finding out if there WAS a battle after that, but if there wasnt historically ill just make it so :p a siege of havana or something) so that cuba remains a spanish possession and so that roosevelt's military fame still gives him a boost for the presidency

On the point:

Not sure whether you mean there's no WWI at all or just that the US doesn't get involved. Either way, even if it's minimal butterflies, i.e. war occurs, US stay neutral and allies still win there's going to be major changes without the most ASB butterfly net. If no war at all then probably no, or at least a vastly different depression so FDR's time, if still president, would be totally different. Similarly any WWII is going to be considerably different.

I don't know what POD you're using but there are going to be a lot of differencies and if you want a serious TL you will have to take some account of that.

Notice from the reference to USNA - does that mean the US has annexed Canada in some way? Even if done peaceably, with consent, which is unlikely, that would make huge butterflies in itself.

WWI as we know it doesnt occur, meaning that its not a world war at all; its just a regional war in eastern europe and the aegean. britain's not involved, france isnt involved, US isnt involved, its just austria, turkey, the balkans, and russia late in the game. i'll mark that down as one-term wilson, then. make way for president hughes!

it has to do with a more violent War if 1812 and american imperialism. in short, britain keeps quebec and adjacent provinces (and the arctic archipelago), the US gets everything else.

i do realize that my ATL is WAAY more than a little ASB (i do now, at least); im mainly trying to realize my vision of what i see as my perfect alternate history, even if some or even alot of aspects and events make it unlikely in comparison to some others

EDIT: also, i think i'll leave teddy's terms alone and have FDR still get three elections cuz of war with spain. ive now filled in most of the elections with OTL presidents, but now ive gotten up to kennedy and LBJ. since 'nam isnt a factor here, would LBJ get a second term? any thoughts on nixon, ford, carter, and reagan?

If you want Theodore Roosevelt as President in 1913, he will have to be running as the Republican Party's nominee. The Progressive Party won't be able to win the Presidency because of the electoral college. So have Roosevelt's forces outmaneuver Taft's at the 1912 RNC and give him the nomination, and it's a done deal.

No Democrat can beat T.R. in the general election.
