ATL Petains in Europe

Lloyd George's a frequently suggested one for the UK; if Germany puppetises instead of annexes Austria, Ernst Rüdiger Starhemberg comes to mind.

In ASB scenarios where Germany conquers the USA, good old George Van Horn Moseley.

I could see Kurt Wallenius in a prominent position in the collaborationist government if the Nazis occupied Finland. Maybe not a "Finnish Petain" as such but a leading figure in the regime nevertheless.

Although I've never really understood why with Lloyd George - it seems to be based entirely on the fact that he gave one pessimistic speech in early 1941. Hardly damming evidence really considering how bleak things looked at the time for Britain.

Besides, he doesn't really fit the Petain mold. Not military, not conservative/traditional, and not someone who would necessarily be that keen on working with the more radical rightwing elements of the British political system that would equate to the Milice or Action Francaise.

Maybe Per Engdahl if Germany feels the need to occupy Sweden, but he would be more of a Quisling than a Petain really...
