Asquith's letters to Venetia Stanley published in 1915?

Venetia Stanley was a walking security risk because H.H. Asquith wrote her hundreds of love letters full of sweet nothings and state secrets and sent them to her in the regular mail. Fortunately for Asquith, Venetia Stanley was discreet, but what if she had a maid who chanced upon them and decided to give them to the newspaper publisher Lord Northcliffe, who could not stand Asquith? Or what if, after a quarrel with Asquith, Venetia decided to go to Northcliffe herself with Asquith's letters? I tend to think that in either of those scenarios, Venetia Stanley would become the Christine Keeler of World War I. But what else would happen? I have my guesses, but I would like to know what you all think.

Thank you very much!
