OK, is there any way that, post-ARW, the majority of Loyalists could've been reconciled with their patriot neighbours then allowed to stay on, instead of OTL being compelled to flee to Canada or England ? Such a scenario of magnanimiity of course would be harder in regions where the ARW was actually a civil war between rival patriot & Tory partisans- such as the South Carolina backwoods, upstate NY or the frontier- but how could a 'bygones be bygones'; attitude have prevailed amongst belligerents on both sides after 1783 as opposed to the Patriots taking over the estates & property of Tories who fled ? Of course, it also gets more complicated with other Loyalist groups such as Indians & runaway blacks...
