Benedict Arnold really screwed him self by choosing the losing side of the revolutionary war; he died miserable and in debt.

How would his new life in Britain have been had the americans been crushed and George 3rd's proper authority restored in the colonies.

Might arnold have run for a seat in parliment as a tory?

How about a position in the East India Company?

And a traitor, to boot. Traitors, even when they defect to your side, are not generally admired. Tolerated, yes, but never admired. He would never be trusted in Britain.
