Armoured Divisons

Can someone assist and let me know what the relative Sizes of WW2 Armoured divisons.

British

American

German

The number of Tanks and types

The number of mechanised vehicles

The number of ariilery pieces and types

The number of Men

I know that a German Divison was approx 10,000 men
and the British and American 15.000 - 20.000 men

It is confusing you read that in 1944 Germany has 57 Divisons in Western Europe and if each has only 10.000 men this would be the same as 29
allied Divisons of 20.000 men is this correct ?

It depends when during WW2. IIRC German panzer divisions in 1939 had more tanks than in 1945 - 2 regiments (4 batalions) in 1939, 1 regiment (2 batalions) in 1945.

I remember reading that the U.S. had HUGE divisions and also had a huge number of independent tank and tank destroyer regiments.

It's also worth noting that prior to the Allied invasion of France, German units were frequently sent to France to refit and rearm, and as such were chronically understrength. Add to this that both sides took enormous casualties, and units were rarely at establishment strength, and the German tendency towards forming Kampfgruppen rather than reestablishing divisional structures.
