So, let's say hypothetically an Armenian rebellion in the late 15th or early 16th century against either the Ak Koyunlu or the Safavids (respectively) is successful, and an independent Armenian state is established between Persia and the Ottomans. I know it probably wouldn't last long.
But in any case, who would the Armenians choose as their king? Would it be more likely they go for the Lusignans (there were still some around at this point) who had ruled Armenian Cilicia? Or would it be more likely they would have a homegrown Armenian king from an unknown dynasty?
