Arizona-Califonia Colorado River conflict

I remember reading somewhere about an incident over water usage and rights involving AZ national guard troops and boat being dispatched. I believe it was around 1920 or so. Anyone know anything about this? This is my first thread. Hope its interesting to someone. :D

Welcome to our crazy little site! Hope your here to stay.

As for the thread topic, I don't think much can come of it. Two states in post Civil-War America goingto war with eac other! Not likely. Maybe if you ahve a POD much, much earlier, there may be a little war.

Well, if the Articles of Confederation were in force, things like that might be possible. (Of course, our history would be VERY different as a result.)
And if the US breaks up, something like that could happen. (For a potential version of it, see C.M. Kornbluth's "The Luckiest Man in Denv."

There was a similar incident between Oklahoma and Texas over the crossings of the Red River (which forms a long length of the OK/TX border). I don't remember if it was in the 1920s or the 1930s. There was a song written about it.

I'm as loyal a Zonie as you'll ever find, but I've got to admit, California would squash us like an insect.
