Anybody know a source for the AA and SAM forces that defended the main land in 1982????

Probably a combination of Roland SAMs, 20mm Oerlekion AAA and, in naval bases, whatever SAMs the ships equipped, which included two destroyers with Sea Darts and Sea Cats

Both they shifted there best aa division from argentina to port stanley.

The oreklion was 40mm .when the raf planned black buck they called the british factory and got this response 'no but if you send an un uniformed man we will help you'

Their ground radar sites and their interceptor air craft were (in my view) probably the most potent air defence assets Argentina had in this time frame. That being said, as others have mentioned Argentina owned various SAM and gun systems. Sorry I don't ever recall seing a "order of battle" for their SAM and gun systems on the mainland.

Given that IIRC after the first Black Buck Raid Argentina had real concerns about the British sending the Vulcans to bomb the mainland I would say their air defenses overall could not be that effective.

After Black Buck 1 the Mirage IIIEA interceptors were withdrawn from Falklands raids and brought to mainland defense against possible Vulcan raids. The Daggers were different Mirages build by Israel, and they continued bombing the Task Force until the end of the War, suffering heavy losses.
Edit: the Dagger was the Nesher, itself the missing link between the Mirage III and the Kfir

In the early 80s Argentina purchased 6 AN/TPS43 3D and 6 AN/TPS44 2D mobile search radars and deployed one of each in the Falklands and a TPS43 to Rio Gallegos to guide strike aircraft. They purchased 4 Roland SAM launchers and deployed 1 in the Falkland's which fired 8 missiles and bought down a Sea Harrier. The also deployed some 7 Tigercat launchers to the Islands acquired from various sources including Britain, plus all the various guns already mentioned.

So the mainland air defences are 10 mobile radars, the whatever is left of the Mirage squadron after the initial air to air combats where at least 2 were lost (9 single seaters left?) 3 Roland SAM systems/sites and whatever Tigercats and AA guns weren't deployed to the Islands and whatever other radars they had.

The Argentinians certainly had 4 Roland SAM launchers ( a short range tactical SAM) some of which went to Port Stanley and were captured by the UK, Oerlikon twin 35mm cannon with Skyguard radar system, they also had a number of 20mm Rhinemetal RH202 cannon and SA7 (not sure where those came from). I'm not aware of the Argentinians operating any medium/long range SAMs.

Their air defence forces were mainly Mirage III C/D, the only medium range A-A missile available was the Matra R530 which were quite long in the tooth even by 1982 and when used operationally failed to perform. I found this Argentinian ORBAT for 1982, though I have no idea

I'm certain the Mirages were E not C, the E having a 30cm fuselage stretch giving it longer range.

I recall media reports shortly after the war indicating that the SA7's came from Libya.

I am mainly interested in whst they would have access to ion April 1982 rather than late may or June.

I believe Brazil lent them some stuff as well but again that was later

Then 11 Mirage IIIE plus a couple of two seaters, 4 Roland SAM sets, at least 7 Tigercat SAMs and 5 3D and 5 2D mobile search radars plus the guns.
