Posted this pre-1900 because most of human history is before 1900
Is the collapse of even the most stable state inevitable?
States that tried to stay around...
Roman Empire- had claimants to its throne almost two thousand years after its founding, and 2,700ish after the city being founded.
China- new rulers, but much of the culture survived from the Shang to the Qing.
Egypt- some form of dynasty for around well over 2,000 years as well
Are states inherently doomed to fall? Given perfect conditions, could one really last forever?
Thoughts?
