Anyone want to work with me on my Hussite TL?

So I've been slowly attempting to write another chapter of my long-dead Hussite TL (or revamping the whole thing if needed), and I've come to the realization that I'm not decent of a writer (and that I'm not very good at utilizing the butterfly effect) and that I need help.

So since I don't know who could specifically help me with the period of time I want to cover, I'm extending an open invitation to anyone who knows a fair bit about this time period, especially the Hussites and Central/Eastern Europe area.

I have close to zero knowledge of the poliutics, but if you do fictional style I can help with details of life and technology.

I'm interested, I would have to read up about it, its been a very long time since I looked at the Hussites but at the time I was fascinated by them. My great hero was a guy called Petr Chelčický ( I have included the link to his wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petr_Chelčický) what fascinated me about him at the time was that he was a pacifist christian philosopher caught up in a movement which became increasingly violent and ended up laying waste to large areas of Germany.

Well, I'm planning on doing either a history-book (my current writing style for the TL), or a "college-class" style (if I revamp it), so I don't know if what you're thinking of helping me with would be all that helpful.

If I do the college class style though, you could probably help with small details of the college class setting (like small alt-historical details about the characters who appear in the setting).

A bit outside my usual stomping grounds, but I'd be happy to help you.

Thanks! Where are your usual historical stomping grounds? If it's at least the same time period as the Hussites (1425 is the starting point for my TL), then I'd welcome any help in any area of the world.

Welcome aboard! Any help you could give would be appreciated, and that link is good. I'll definitely include Chelcicky (I can't do the non-Latin symbols thing, sorry) in the TL somewhere.

Hmm... my plans for the Hussites and Europe won't go the same way as that TL, but that could be useful. Thanks for the heads-up.

Anyway, I'm thinking of entirely revamping the TL, instead of keeping what I have so far. My thoughts are that I should modify the PoD, but keep the basic idea in one piece. The Hussites need a unifying figure to keep them from destroying themselves (as they did in OTL). How they get the unifying figure (probably a king), is up for debate. I'm going to let you guys talk about this in an open thread instead of PMs for now, as I don't want to clutter up my PMs before I have a basic idea of where to go.

Well. My favorite area is economic history, especially 19th century (rise of the bond markets) with a bit earlier (18th = first transnationals, HEIC and VOC, 17th = colonial corporations etc) so this is well before that :) I did make a study of the Hussites once upon a time, and concluded that the thing which needed doing was neither to kill nor ransom Sigismund but to capture and KEEP him for years; any Emperor could have marshaled the resources of the Empire to crush the Hussites, so there must be no active Emperor. However, I didn't consider the idea of Zizka creating a sort of adoptive monarchy with his nephew, and it's a good one, so by all means let's explore your idea.

Silesia was Polish speaking even if under the Crown of Bohemia at that time, they could give that back in return of making Bohemia a Polish-Lithuanian protectorate.
