Anyone know a good source for Ancient Persian names?

I am considering starting a timeline that I have been working on for quite awhile (the reason I joined the forum, really) on Alexander the Great, and I have thus far been able to find the original Persian names for a good many characters that would appear in the story, but there are some others that I am having trouble with. The names Sisygambes and Stateira come to mind.

Anyone have any good sources?

That would be cool for sure dude ;)

EDIT: I was actually familiar with that one. I didn't realize until I got to the names section. Unfortunately, the two names in question can't be found there, but it is definitely a good source for others.

Yes, it has all the old school Aryan names you would ever want. I will look a little deeper, perhaps.

In all honesty I doubt I can find a better source than that. Maybe you could check some Sassanid, Achaemenid, Parthian king lists. Also if you want to go way back, I'm sure there are Assyrian and Babylonian records of Median names.

Probably so. I appreciate you trying, dude. Lord knows I have. It's really those two in specific that have been killing me. lol

They were most likely obscure names for even that time or they were lower class names, but of two people who rose through the ranks. As you likely know, it is difficult to figure out "low" class names for the more ancient time periods.
