way to find a map of the Southern USA with state lines but nothing else?![]()
Well, the way most obvious to me would be to simply crop a blank outline map of the US with state borders.
I can't make it look good..
Even this map would work. https://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showpost.php?p=397727&postcount=12
Basically I want the old "CSA" so Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Caroline, Virginia, Tennessee, with the Non-CSA inclusion of Maryland.
I assume you also want Mississippi and Louisiana too . . . .
So no Oklahoma? And as for Virginia, do you want it pre- or post- the secession of West Virginia?
Also, are you looking simply for a cropped version of the map you linked to or do you want surrounding states, countries, and/or oceans removed?
I like it, any way to ...(thinks of word) minimize Mexico? Their state borders draw the eye down there. Other then that it seems good. Thanks alot. This might help my Timeline. Sometimes I don't want to the rest of the USA if I'm just talking about the South.
Paint.NET bucket "world" function. I like the CIA map style lately so I have a saved map with all of the typical hallmarks - outside darker color, grey borders, river color, coast color, sea color, lettering...Wow, that's neat. How did you change the colors so fast? I'm assuming you didn't use MS Paint.
Well, in that case use it for the USA. Or the South as defined by the makers of the map. Whatever that main subject is.Thanks guys. I will use all these maps. I have plans for highways systems, economic stuff, Jim Crow (segregation/ lynches) and all kinds of things. So I can use a variety of maps.
But I don't need a CSA color.![]()
