Any ideas for a collaborative timeline?

You could do a collaborative timeline starting in January 1961. You could have different people writing for different countries. Just imagine how the world would have been if the Cuban Missile Crisis had gone differently:D:eek:

One of the most interesting scenarios (to me, anyways) is how history might have changed if Japan fought to the end instead of surrendering in August 1945. Some pretty serious consequences for everyone there.

Read: Decisive Darkness. I did a Korean spinoff. Don't know if The Red wants to keep working on it though

I would like to do a massive international timeline with a POD being Germany going to way with Czechoslovakia in 1938, with the result being a military coup overthrowing (or attempting to overthrow) Hitler. One which tries to discuss as much as possible form the impact on Roosevelt and Chamberlin, to the Spanish Civil War, Soviet Union and Japan.

How about these ones:

* Fidel Castro and Daniel Ortega stay in baseball rather than politics,...
* Ronald Reagan stays an SAG Actor in Hollywood, CA,...
* Anglo-French Commonwealth is established in 1940/1956,...
* U.S. troops in Nicaragua starting in 1986,...

Other suggestions:

- Georgy Zhukov becomes Premier of the USSR
- No Protestant Reformation
- The Russian Revolution of 1905 succeeds
- Huey Long is not assassinated
- Hitler starts WWII in 1938

-Washington seeks a third term
-Jackson wins in 1824
-Jackson dies in 1824/1825 from something
-Harrison carries Pennsylvania in 1836; vote thrown to house
-Harrison lives
-Lincoln never assassinated
-Garfield never assassinated
-Bryan wins in 1896
-McKinley never assassinated

Butterflies, butterflies everywhere.

What if all of the PODs were placed together to form an ATL? Yes, it would be strange and would cause people to scream about butterflies, but that never stopped Fringe (FOX-TV) or most Harry Turtledove novels...
Here are a few more for craziness:

* M. Krishnamurti accepts his role of "Theosophy" messiah in 1928 in Encino, California,...
* Chiang Kai-shek leads the Kuomintang to victory in Beijing in 1950,...
* Sino-Soviet border conflict erupts into full-scale war in 1968,...

This could be interesting.
