There's this alternate history fanfic I've been reading with a POD just after 1040 CE. The author's welcomed people making fanart for the fic before, so I'm planning to make a map of Europe at the point the fic's at currently. Does anyone have a good map of Europe around 1040 CE that I could use as a starting point? Preferably one that doesn't have many internal borders and where the countries have uniform colours, so it would be easier to edit in MS Paint
