The Defeat and Death of Khalid
One of the most decisive battles in history, the battle of Yarmuk, where the Muslim Arab forces led by the able Khalid were defeated and Khalid killed leading to the reconquest of the Byzantine Levant by Byzantines.

In 635 Sassanid Persian is invaded by a small force of Arabs led by another able Muslim general, Abu Al Khatab, who quickly defeated the small and useless Persian armies sent against him, but his invasion in reality was just a raid into the fragmented Sassanid Empire. The real invasion came in July 639 when an Arab army of over 100,000 men under Al Khatab invaded the Sassanid Empire, and as last time all resistance was crushed and unlike last time Persia was conquered.

In 641 Al Khatab attacked the Byzantine Empire but this time the Byzantines were ready they had seen the tactics used by the Arabs and the Byzantine general Diocles who had defeated Khalid was sent against the invading Arabs. Rather than wait for the Arabs to come to him Diocles, using all the camels he could find, attacked the marching Arabs with a tiny force of horsemen. The Arabs who had been going straight through the desert and in such a large number were easily routed. No general would ever go through a large desert again without proper water transportation something which Khatab didn’t have.

After the defeat of Al Khatab, Muslim Arabia descended into the chaos of religious wars, this would not end for a good long while. While Persia and Iraq are united into the Bahamid Empire under the first king in the Bahamid Dynasty, Bahas.

I will have a map ready in 3-4 days

interesting. more detail would be nice, i'm interested in how the Byzantines defeated the Arabs in battle, tactical changes, specific things that went differently

Ill answer that question now.

The battle of Yarmuk, Diocles defeated the Arabs by using long pikes and lighthorsemen, the pikeman would fend off Arab calvary and the light horsemen would fend off the Arab archers.
