Suppose that the secondary revelations about Weiner's sexting didn't come out, or came out awhile later, what would be the effects of a Weiner administration of New York? He was leading in the polls it seems before the scandal, so continuing momentum doesn't seem impossible. What would be different about the running of the city? If the scandal broke after he'd already won, would he resign? If it broke in the general election phase, could the Republican, Joe Lhota, jump from ~25% to a win?
Note: This is mostly a fun idea I've gotten from watching "Weiner" the documentary about his mayoral run.
