Another Plane Thread: WI Britain buys the F-117 Nighthawk

Came across this and found it interesting. Evidently, Britain was offered not once, but twice to buy the F-117 - first sometime in 1986, the second time sometime after Desert Storm. Both times, Britain chose not to purchase the aircraft.

So, what if Britain had bought the Nighthawk at either of these potential PoDs? The effects would likely be very different depending on whether they decide to get on-board in '86 or in the 90s. It seems that during the first attempt to sell the Nighthawk, Britain was being offered the baseline F-117A. In the 90s, however, Britain was being offered the proposed F-117B, itself based upon the proposed naval variant being pitched to the US Navy. The F-117B would have a number of improvements, giving the projected aircraft better handling, twice the range, and twice the payload of the baseline F-117A. However, (according to the linked article, at least) the USN's rejection of the F-117N effectively doomed the F-117B.

What do you think would have happened if the UK had chosen to buy the F-117, either in the 80s or in the 90s?
