Just had another idea based on the Soviet Union winning non-nuclear WWIII thread: WI during the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Soviets, in response to the US blockade of Cuba- and as speculated in 13 DAYS- began blockading West Berlin ? How much would the ante have been upped during the crisis, and what set of specific circumstances could have facilitated Khrushchev ordering the Red Army to try the 1948-49 Berlin Blockade all over again on a larger scale ?

How will you do it on a larger scale?

I think krushchev would have set his troops in march, as he did, when coming to the belief that the Allies from WWII renounced their claims to west berlin,
as he believed when kennedy stated his 3 essentials.
