No worries! I'm loving the way the Roman Empire is diverging from OTL bit by bit in political and cultural terms.
Also this ATL Islam seems to be more diverse early on by comparison to OTL, and Omar's admonishment of zealotry and sin alike gives me a good feeling
Keep up the good work!
Yeah i'm really liking this timeline aswell, especially wondering how isam will spread in comparison to how it did otl.
Conversion in north africa may actually be more succesful than otl, because that region in particularly the punics converted to christianity very quickly and the donastist brand of christianity with its uncompromising radicalism and opposition to roman secular rule seems quite similar to early islam.
This is really cool
Christianity or as it is known ITTL as Nazarene Judaism is a Jewish sect ITTL a very proselytising one at that. It is a major religion in the Eastern Empire. Nazarene Judaism however is a very fluid religion with some sects of it closer to the Roman Pantheons than Judaism.Maybe I missed something but I do not conceive the concept of any sort of 'Islam' without an important previous spreading of Christianism in the East.
There is no Islam without Christianism (as a major religion, not like a hidden sect), as there is no Christianism without Judaism.
I think I'll finish this one in the and forum but maybe with diff Pods as for a more plausible one in the Before 1900s forum, maybe?Itikaf, I really hope you finish this TL. I really enjoy it. Will you be finishing this TL in ASB and doing one like this later but in this forum?
