Angola causing WWII...

Not as crazy as it might seem, as I'm talking from an alternate WWI perspective. Inspired by a brainflash I had in the 'CP Victory Once and For All' thread, if the Central Powers won WWI over a German victory in the Battle of the Marne.

Let's say Germany has grabbed chunks of Africa from France, done its wheelings and dealings with Britain and everything seems normal. Except Germany attempts to initiate their secret plans with Britain to partition Portugal's empire - this may not be plausible, but at the immediate end of the war Germany hasn't got nealry as much territory as she wanted because she lost all of her Asian possessions to Japan and the Commonwealth. Granted Germany annexed a massive swathe of Africa but, as it stands the empire isn't bigger than France's, who they just defeated.

So Germany attempts their plans for Portugal but Britain says no, wanting to at least limit German power projection a little considering the huge advantage they hold over the continent. So Germany, feeling overpowered and over-sized, invades Angola thinking the UK wouldn't do anything about it (given this is, say, 5-6 years after WWI, which ended in 1915). But Portugal decalres war, and so does Britain...

Could this escalate? Is it even plausible? Entire nations, particularly Germany, have been known to show arrogance. A Germany that dominates Central Europe is more than likely to think of itself as invincible.
