Anglo-German ww1 war goals

So in my victoria 2 game as Canada, the British Empire and the German Empire are allies and are fighting this TL's version of ww1 against the Entente which consist of the French, Austria-Hungary and Russia. The Anglo-German alliance has some other medium to smaller allies like Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Romania as well.

It should also be noted that Germany is rather Liberal, at least for the standards of the day. Since they have become a true constitutional Monarchy and the German Liberals have often been in power. for my AAR, I went with Frederick the 3rd living and then his son Henry not Willy becoming Kaiser after his death, as Kaiser Henrich the first.

What I am curious about though is what sort of peace treaty would arrive after their victory. The game goes with the historical divisions of Austria-Hungary and the Brest-Litovsk Treaty divisions. However, I am not so sure that would be the case. In particular I am wondering what would become of France. Thus I am looking for ideas, thoughts and suggestions for this scenario. :)

France definitely loses most of its colonies.

Does Russia still have Alaska? If so, it will make a nice addition to Canada.

Can we see a map of the world prior to the war?

We kind of need to know what the world looks like.

With France surrounded I would presume that border regions would be shaved off and Anglor Germany would decimate their colonial holdings.

a lot of French green in Africa goes pink and whatever colour German possessions were...

and what happens to poor old Belgium (and their African holdings) in this scenario??

Well Belgium are part of the Anglo German alliance according to the op. So I would presume that their African holdings remain or grow and perhaps they take a slice of Northern France too.

Given that alliance structure, and a convincing Anglo-German victory, I would say German spoils could reasonably include Austria proper, Bohemia-Moravia, Russian Baltic territories, various chunks of Sub-Saharan Africa, French Indochina and various Pacific islands.

oops, missed that part

well Cape-Cairo railway becomes a joint enterprise reality, and probs some east-west version as well once France has lost its African holdings

Dar es Salaam/Mombassa - Libreville...is it worth it?

All the gains seem to be German?

Which side are the ottomans on?

Reckon japan might get more of russian far east, not really sure whats in it for britain tho, maybe the odd french colony and create more of a butter between india and russia?

Britain gets St. Pierre and Miquelon.;) Seriously, I would expect Britain's share of the spoils to be larger chunks of French African territory, including most of the choicest ones: Morocco, Madagascar, Senegal. Also Pondicherry, all of the French concessions in China proper and various bits in the Pacific and Indian oceans.

For Italy, being able to take pieces of France AND Austria is a dream come true. Perhaps Corsica, Nice, Trieste, Carniola, Dalmatia, Tunisia, and an enlargement of Libya.

Spain gets some land in Africa from France and some adjustments in the Pyrenees.

Rumania gets Transylvania and Moldavia.

I have to think that Finland gains independence as does Poland (including Galicia).

I already got Alaska earlier as Britain was able to buy it :)

Here is the map at the start of the War, blue representing the Anglo-German Allies, and red representing the French alliance. It should be noted that eventually Serbia and Romania join in the war. It should be noted that the Japanese join later on in the War to get a hold in Asia, principally fighting against France that owns Korea and Indochina + Thailand, but they also look to the Russian far east as well.

The Ottomans stay neutral throughout the war though they are aligned with Britain and Germany, they refuse to enter the War.

Yea, Britain's gains I am not quite sure on, maybe an independent Brittany as part of Britain's sphere of Influence?

good ideas. thanks :)

As to France's colonies in the Caribbean and with French Guiana, might they end up being taken by the US, because Monroe Doctrine? Otherwise, either they get grabbed by the UK, or France gets to keep them.

I see you mention that France owns Thailand. I think that at least part would become British Siam. Building a railroad from Bombay to Singapore has a certain appeal
