Anglo-French war in the 1930s

Well first you have to put France in a position to oppose Great Britain.

I suppose if you have the Vatican take a neutral position regarding Action Francaise rather than condemn it, allowing it to continue to grow in popularity, it could take over the State during the October '34 Crisis. Its policies are put into place, and the Monarchy returns.

However the problem here is that most of its members were supportive of the Stresa Front against Germany, whom was the major enemy in their eyes, and I see the French intervening during the Sudenten Crisis militarily, if not the Austrian one. I suppose if the British failed to join Italy, France (and possibly Spain) in opposing Germany it would ruin their relations, but would it go so far as to war? No.

Unless there is some incident that occurred during the 30's that I am not thinking of that might cause a rift, I don't see it.

For the sake of debate I said that the causes of the war would probably be ASB, I just wanted to get an opninon on how such a war would pan out.

Intrestingly, noone has as of yet has mentioned the war in the air, unfourtunatly I know absoulutly nothing about pre-war airforces and aircraft :(
