Anglo Axis

Hitler always wanted an alliance with his so called English brothers.
What I'm asking is could it have been possible for the United Kingdome to be in the side of Germany during world war 2?

Try getting Mosley and his BUF cronies into power first. They'd be more than happy to add London into the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo Axis.

Isn't that pretty ASBish?

@OP: Would it count if Britain stayed neutral while Hitler invaded Poland, France and the Soviet Union?

Yeah... It would have been ASB territory considering that nearly no one in Britain backed the BUF and that the government managed to restrict their activity with much success. Even if they staged a successful coup their hold on power would have been shaky at best. Thus Britain would never have aligned themselves with the Axis.

Best I can come up with is some sort of armed communist uprising pushes the UK into a hardline anti-communist stance. If that happened then they may be happy to stay neutral while Germany crusades against Russia. Not high on the plausibility scale....

I don't see open alliance as possible.

The UK does not offer a guarantee to Poland, and Poland is succesfully bullied by Germany to cede the Danzig corridor. Peace lasts a year or two before the Soviet Union attacks the rump Poland and the Baltic countries, Germany and the other non-communist governments in Europe form a coalition against the Soviet Union.
