Ancient Greece Survives To This Day

How could we have the ancient Greek city-states surviving into the modern day with their language and culture? What are your opinions?

only asb's can do this....nothing remains the same in history....cept our want to kill each other

No. Greece was conquered by Rome. Greek culture may have endured for thousands of years but the city states themselves would never last. The were corrupt and were almost contently infighting. They were easily divided up. Maybe, just maybe the city states could endure as autonomous cities under Rome for a while but by the time of the Dominate the nominal independence would end.

And a million butterflies cried that day.

This isn't really surviving, but maybe you could have some kind of time warp or something that makes them transported to and appear in our modern world.

Even if they had somehow survived, with the passage of time the language and culture and politics and even the city states themselves would have evolved into something different than they were some 2500 to 3000 years ago.

To have them survive absolutely intact as they were in The Golden Age or the Helenistic age is not possible. The passage of time would have changed everything and with the passage of that many years they would have changed a lot.

Not to mention the city-states themselves didn't exactly stay static. The domination of Athens and the League of Delmos was replaced by that of Sparta, then Thebes and finally Macedon (I've probably skipped a few steps here). It's probably inevitable that sooner or later the city states will be absorbed by an external power or effectively devolve to 2/3 roughly united states themselves.
