Ancient Davidic kingdom doesn't split

Hi! I'm sure this has been done before, but how would the ancient world have developed if there hadn't been a split in the ancient Kingdom of Israel into Judah and Samaria? Would there have been a stronger Jewish state which would have lasted longer?

I figure that whatever state developed would likely be eaten up by Rome or someone like that, so I don't know how much of an effect it would have.

The lord rains blessings upon the pious house of David, leading to his eventual return 480 years later

Well, at least early on, perhaps the influence and growth expirienced under David and Soloman would continue under Rehoboam, eventually leading Israel to become one of the more formal empires of the region, like Babylon or Egypt.
