Anarchist USA

Well there's the thing. It is highly likely, especially in the post war world, than an anarcho-syndicalist revolution in any of the First World states would probably be so contagious as to basically sweep through the entire First World, You're not going to get an anarchist America alone.

Just look at the revolutionary wave that the workers' councils of Russia set off, in spite of being a relatively isolated, backwards reactionary state. Have the same kind of revolution in the US, and it'd be incredibly infectious, and after WW2, with the Old Right utterly destroyed the world over, such a revolution would pull the normally social democratic consensus left into the far left very quickly.

the problem with an anarchy state is that when the rest of the world is not anarchic, they aren't going to leave you alone, especially when you're dealing with prime real estate like the USA. So, to get the USA into anarchy, you'd have to have most of the world in the same state. Otherwise, those non-anarchic states are bound to take advantage of you...

Hmm, okay I find Jello_Briafra's explanation makes more sense here, thanks!

I repeat, to anyone saying it would automatically be chaotic or what have you, I point to Catalonia. I also point to there to show that they can mount a defense.

For the latter, I also remind you of the Anarchist Black Army, which scored many victories against the White Army during the 2nd Russian Revolution.

Over all though, I sadly see why a story of this type hasn't been attempted. (I referenced Reds as more of a imbetween point, not saying the Anarchists dominated that one.)
