Kapitel VI

Maria of Sicily, after the death of her father decided to find a husband for her own in order to strengthen Sicily, she was careful and fast in choosing a husband and chose to marry Theodore of Montferrat, the son of Isabella of Montferrat choosing a husband was sure hard for her because she decided against marrying to the Viscontis, Theodore bestowed back the dignity of the Island as a Roman land, the two were married on 1380.

After their marriage Theodore of Montferrat became the King of Sicily, Neopatria and Athens and also assumed ambitioned to rule Mainland Sicily.

Before, Joanna of Naples died on 1380, Catherine of Naples was already married to Louis, Duke of Anjou on 1360, as an order of Joanna of Naples.

On 1382, the Hungarian King Charles II decided to conquer Naples while Catherine of Naples was busy focusing on Provence but in the end everything was in vain and Naples remained under the rule of Catherine of Naples, however, due to the excommunication of Joanna of Naples, Theordore I of Sicily talked to the pope in order for the Kingdom of Naples to be annexed by the King of Sicily.

Theodore of Montferrat took the titles Catapan of Italy, Duke of Benevento, Duke of Spoleto, King of Sicily, Despot of Neopatria and Athens and others after meeting the pope.

He decided to conquer Naples for his own wife who wanted to unite the Kingdom of Sicily in order for it to become one Kingdom.

He annexed the weak Kingdom of Naples from Queen Catherine of Naples forcing the Anjous out of Sicily was an easy task for the Palaiologos, however that would only be the start because the King of France and the Duke of Provence would try every thing to conquer the new incarnation of Rome.

Meanwhile the King of Poland granted Wladyslaw the Saint(b. 1355), the eldest son and heir of Wladyslaw Opolczyk the Duke of Opole-Raciborz was made a seneschal and marshal of the King of Poland, he is the first cousin of the Polish King, he had good relations with the king so it was natural for the King to give titles to him, he was a favorite of the Polish King while Charles II the King of Hungary died on 1385 childless, causing Algierd, the son of Jogaila of the newly converted King of Lithuania to be the King of Hungary, starting the Jagellonian dynasty of Hungary.

The love between Maria and Theodore of Sicily did bloom and they had children as well.

I don't see the Papacy blessing that arrangement, except under duress, and one which can be reversed as soon as Palaeologian forces leave the Papal States. Also, if Charles II of Hungary invades Naples in 1382, how does he die in 1380?

KAPITEL VII

On 1355, the son of Stephen Uros IV Dusan, Prince Stephen Uros married Elisabeth of Bosnia causing the annexation Bosnia to Serbia later on..however, Serbia was made a great empire by this marriage.
Elisabeth of Bosnia was granted dispensation to marry the Serbian ruler and converted to Orthodoxy.

On the ascension of Stephen Uros V to the Serbian throne on 1360, he annexed Bosnia immediately to his realm as one of his centers of power, he also considered himself the rightful Byzantine Emperor as well.

Stephen Uros annexed Slavonija and Southern Dalmatia to his Kingdom and vassalized Montenegro and Dalmatia and strengthened its rule in Vardarska.

Elisabeth of Hungary provided two surviving children to Stephen Uros

Matias b. 1359
Andrej b. 1365

And two surviving female children
Hedvika b. 1368
Maria b. 1375

Tsar Stephen V Dusan decided to reform the laws in his Serbian Empire causing it to prosper in his rule and he both supported the Catholic and the Orthodox religion creating laws which prospered the religious toleration in the Empire.

Algierd succeeded in the Kingdoms of Hungary on 1385 and Bohemia on 1390, after the dust has been settled between Waclaw of Plock and his father, Jogaila, Algierd is focused on his problems with the heretic Jan Hus which later strengthened the Serbian rule in Slavonia and Dalmatia due to him getting distracted.

Kapitel VIII

On 1390, Algierd sold his rights to Luxembourg to the Dukes of Burgundy causing Burgundy to be stronger..

Hus was born in Husinec, Bohemia, in 1369. At an early age he traveled to Prague, where he supported himself by singing and serving in churches. His conduct was positive and his commitment to his studies was remarkable. In 1393, Hus earned the degree of Bachelor of Arts at the University of Prague, and he earned his master's degree in 1396. In 1400, he was ordained as a priest. He served as rector of the university in 1402–03. He was appointed a preacher at the newly built Bethlehem chapel around the same time. Hus was a strong advocate for the Czechs, and therefore the Realists, and he was influenced by the writings of John Wycliffe. Although church authorities proscribed many works of Wycliffe in 1403, Hus translated Trialogus into Czech and helped to distribute it.

Algierd was a weak ruler and the Hussite faith spread in Bohemia in 1392, he married the young Mary of Serbia, he was not keen to enforce the inquisition in Bohemia that he even protected the Hussites and for that reason Hussitism also became very rampant in Poznan and some parts of Lower Silesia south of Oder which was suppressed by the King Boleslaw IV, would not want any of this new religion entering his new realm so he instituted the inquisition against the heretic Hussites, Casimir, his son had married Jadwiga of Serbia, the daughter of Stephen Dusan and Elisabeth of Hungary, while Mary would marry Algierd of Hungary and Bohemia, Stephen Dusan wanted to protect his rule in Slavonia and Dalmatia which is now strengthening and he made the Kings and Queens of Poland and Hungary to be related to him.
