JUNE 26th 2005
PRESS STATMENT FROM THE PENGUINS

To the City of Pittsburgh we are sorry and we thank you for the near 40 years we spent here and the 2 Stanley Cups we brought to you however the Penguins organization and ownership has announce that the team will relocate to the city of Milwaukee starting in the 2005-2006 season to bring you a new era of Penguins hockey

And to the people of the city of Milwaukee I introduce you to your new NHL team the Milwaukee Penguins
According to lemieux that was just a pressure Tactic

Well they aren’t gonna get Crosby with the number 1 pick ITTL and I always thought that was their saving grace from relocating
It wasn't,they weren't moving,in fact Lemieux did everything to stay in Pittsburgh,so unless the city fumble then away or the Civic arena collapse

Though I recall also attendance went from 14,000 to 11,000 in 2003-2004 and who knows how much of a bigger drop in attendance they would of had in 2004-2005

Maybe where you have barely over 1,000 people in attendance

NBA draft top 3 New
“ESPN COVERAGE OF THE 2005 NBA DRAFT 1st 3 PICKS ON JUNE 28th 2005”

Mike Tirico: The Orlando Magic are officially on the clock and soon we will get the answer of who is going number 1 overall?

Jay Blias: Well I have been hearing all day that it will be either Chris Paul from Wake Forest,Marvin Williams from North Carolina,Darren Brooks from Southern Illinois or Deron Williams from Illinois University

It seems like the Magic are leaning with Chris Paul but we don’t know until we hear from Commissioner Stern

Stephen A Smith: If Chris Paul falls to the Knicks here at number 2 the crowd is gonna do crazy and I don’t see how they wouldn’t immediately turn that pick in

*Later on*

Mike Tirico: Well here it is folks here comes the commissioner ready to tell us who is number 1

“With the 1st pick in the 2005 NBA Draft the Orlando Magic select Chris Paul from the University of Wake Forest!”
*There is a mixed of cheers and boos in the audience*

Mike Tirco: Well there truly is a divided reaction here among the Knicks faithful here in Madison Square Garden but Jay you believe this is the right pick?

Jay Blias: Yes Mike Orlando is getting their true successor to Tracy McGrady right here

You put him on the same court as Emeka Okafor and Grant Hill and the Magic are all of the sudden you got a very promising team

Also the Magic have been a key team in the Ray Allen free agency sweepstakes so it can get more exciting if that is the case

*Later on*

Mike Tirico : Alright let’s see what the Knicks do a number 2 here

“With the 2nd pick in the 2005 NBA Draft the New York Knicks select Andrew Bogut from Australia and the University of Utah!”

Mike Tirico: A mixed reaction to this pick here at Madison Square Garden but nevertheless it’s the Knicks taking the big guy from the land down under Andrew Bogut

Jay Blias: This is someone who had been number 1 in several mock drafts this past 2 months however it really changed when the Magic were awarded with the 1st pick and they didn’t seem to be in contention to draft Bogut but he goes to his new home here in New York

The Knicks really fixed their center needs on this pick and I know it’s not the most exciting pick here for them it’s still the safest and best pick right here

*Later on*

Mike Tirico: So coming up is the Chicago Bulls pick but whoever’s name that is gonna be called up there by the commissioner isn’t going to Chicago no is going to be traded up to the Lakers when the Kobe Bryant trade that broke earlier this evening officially goes through

Stephen A Smith: This really is a exciting time to be a Bulls fan they have their first real post Jordan star but the Lakers I think will be fine with Vince Carter and whoever goes here

*Later on*

“With the 3rd Pick in the 2005 NBA Draft the Chicago Bulls select Deron Williams from the University of Illinois!”

Mike Tirico: Williams who was Chad Ford’s 2nd top guard behind Chris Paul in the draft is taken 3rd overall but as he puts on that Bulls hat he will soon be told that he will be going west and trade that for a Lakers hat

Jay Balis: I’m not saying he is going to replace Kobe in LA but I think Lakers fans should get excited of the idea of a Williams and Carter led Lakers it may take some time for them to react title contention again but it’s looking like a promising rebuild for them

1.Man the 2005 NBA Draft class has to be one of the weakest in recent history right?

2.I personally would like someone to do that while I do the 2005 NBA Draft if that is alright with the people here

And later cited the shocking hiring of Tom Osborne as the Athletic Director for the school as not the sign of a fading legend, but a culture shock necessary to keep the Cornhusker tradition as elite as possible.
