An MLB Collaborative TL: Piece of Cake: The Cubs win Game 6 in '03

Expos have a timeline, NFL has one week left
December 20, 2003: It is announced that the fate of the Expos will be announced on or around September 1, 2004. This comes as the franchises has been mentioned in many relocation rumors with cities like Vancouver, BC, Portland, OR and San Juan, PR all clamor to land the franchise. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Twins are another franchise looking at relocation rumors as Twin Cities voters rejected a possible new stadium to be built with taxpayer money. Commissioner Selig has remained silent on any rumors regarding both franchises.

December 20-22, 2003: Week 16 of the NFL season recap: On Saturday, the defending champion Buccaneers put a damper on the Falcons playoff hopes, winning in Tampa 27-13, the Chiefs knock of the Vikings in Minnesota to secure the #1 seed in the AFC in a 41-39 shootout victory. Saturday night sees New England lose again, this time to the Jets in East Rutherford 24-20 with Tom Brady throwing a costly interception with 33 seconds left and the Patriots driving. Sunday's action sees the Dolphins win up in Buffalo 28-7 to tie the Patriots for the AFC East lead, the Cowboys demolish the happless Giants 44-7 to clinch a playoff spot, the Saints move closer to playoff spot with an improbable win over Jacksonville featuring a lateral-play as time expired followed by gusty two-point conversion to steal the win, the Lions upset the Panthers 28-21, Tennessee winning in Houston 30-14, the Seahawks beating the Cardinals 9-6 in an ugly game that only saw field goals scored, a Sunday Night win for the Broncos in Indy over the Colts to clinch a playoff spot for Denver and a day after his dad dies, Packers QB Brett Farve having a performance for the ages, throwing 5 TD's as the Packers crush the Raiders 40-7.

Okay, just stop, man. This isn't fucking NASCAR here. Unlike IRL, i actually care about workers getting breaks and not having to work every fucking week.
But we can’t just drop tracks that are under contract and are in valuable markets like Nashville, Kansas City, and Chicago.

The struggle is real in Columbia
December 21, 2003: In the annual Braggin’ Rights game, (5) Illinois gets 24 points from freshman sensation Dee Brown and 19 points from Roger Powell as the Illini cruise to a 76-58 win over Missouri. Illinois remains undefeated, while the Tigers, who began the year ranked fifth, sit at 2-4, with Memphis and Syracuse still on the non-conference slate, not to mention Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas on the conference schedule. Tough times indeed for Mizzou.

Look, i've been thinking this over. I'm willing to add Kansas City and Chicago. with Nazareth's future being up in the air, i dunno what track would replace it. Since we already have ovals that outnumber the road courses, maybe i could add alabama or something.

Barber’s one of the best track for INDYCAR today, it makes perfect sense to include it. As for what replaces Nazareth, I’d go for the Glen thanks to it’s history (and not just because I’m from Long Island).

Downfall of Nassar
If no one minds, I'd like to submit an entry for January of 2004:

January 10th, 2004: A burglar breaks into a house in Holt, Michigan. Among the things he steals is a computer belonging to the owner. When he turns on the computer to see if it's any good, he's shocked by what he finds and promptly calls the police.

January 13th, 2004: When the owner of the computer comes into the police station to recover his computer, the local police arrest the owner of the computer for possession of child pornography. The owner's name: Larry Nassar, a sports doctor at Michigan State University--and a doctor with the US gymnastics team. Needless to say, this arrest makes state and, soon, national news...

‘Cats survive the Beavers, Pens might move
December 24, 2003: #2 ranked Arizona just barely escapes an upset from Oregon State in Corvallis as after being down by 16 in the second half, Wildcats star Andre Iguodala drops 44 points aided by Channing Frye's 26 points gives Arizona the 94-89 win over the Beavers to stay unbeaten while giving Oregon State their first loss of the season.

December 26, 2003: Not a good belated Christmas present for hockey fans in the Steel City as the Pittsburgh Penguins officially file for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection as the city of Pittsburgh remains hesitant about building the team a new arena. Team owner (and player) Mario Lemieux has stated that he wants to stay in Pittsburgh, but he would be interested in other cities should that be the only way to keep the franchise afloat. Currently, Seattle, Portland and Houston are all being looked at as suitable destinations for an NHL franchise. The Pens currently sit dead last in this young 2003-04 NHL season with just 4 wins so far.

Look, the reason why i'm hesitant to adding more races is because of the workers and how bloated everything is IRL nowadays, so that's why i wanted a more manageable schedule to give the workers a break.

So, it'd be like this then, in no particular order

Homestead miami
Phoenix
Mexico city
Long beach
Motegi
Indy 500
Milwaukee
Texas 500
Portland
Cleveland
US 500 at Michigan
Toronto
Road America
Mid-Ohio
Kansas City speedway
Chicago motor speedway
Gateway
Nazareth
Surfers Paradise
Laguna Seca
California 500
