AN IDEIA

I again
I'm the guy who is writting a Danish England(probably the worst AH ever:))

My ideia the creation of some sort of game

the game would be like this

1- Every month there would be a challenge like WI george whashington was killed bla bla bla, etc

2- during that month several timelines would show up and a pool woul decide wich one was the best

3-in the end of the year the person who as most timeline of the month award wins

Sorry bad English ( I'm Portuguese so Ola a todos)

We have had "Timeline Contests" similar to your proposal, but the timelines that have been gone for there were pretty in-depth, more so than would be practical for a single month.

By the wa, should I be proud or amused that your POD involved a* (United States of) American?

*Should this be an an? If you take out the parentheses, you get "a American", but including them causes, alternatively, "an United". I'm inclined to account for the parenthetical part.

And about the one month question, the ideia is that til the end of the month all contestants may present a skeleton timeline and if they want they can follow it with a normal timeline

That's not a bad idea at all. :) I'm thinking obscure PODs would be compulsory though!

what POD are you suggesting Basileus (love Issac's Empire)

New questions: what should be the name of the game

Your timeline "Rise of Axum is cool" (maps cause a beautiful effect)

And now some advertise please see my timeline a Danish england

I don't write for some time because I want to now if somebody like that

Names? somebody?

Thank you, now go and post on the thread for it. :p.

And how about as a fairly obscure kick off POD: Caesar's daughter Julia never dies in childbirth, and survives to deliver a healthy baby girl.

That is obscure. But I think I can do better. What if Philip of Macedon killed Alexander instead of the other way around?

And thanks for the feedback Pamc, I posted in your thread.

i have three ideas for the first Tl of the game

1- Otto III survives and marries Zoe (byzantine)

2- John I Tzimiskes conquers the abbasid cliphate

3-Constantine XI escapes constantinople

Sounds good. You need to get about 10 people to commit to doing one of these mini TLs though- so it may be an idea to put this in Chat to attract widespread attention? Then you need to come up with a name, and some clear rules. :)

So revisiting my old thread I thought of names for the game

OBTL game (OBTL stands for OBscure "pods" TimeLine") (very lame)

Probably Improbable game (maybe shortened to PI)

So I'm still open to suggestions

and rules

1- All contestants should post their "skeleton tl" in the original thread (sorta like map challenge)

2- Contestants may use maps

the third rule should be something about a limitation of the years covered and there must be some rule which change depending on the POD.

So, what do you think?
