One history tidbit that could serve to explain the Hibernian power in the ATL. In 1506, Hernando Colon of Seville, the illegitimate offspring of Cristofero Colon (a.k.a. Christopher Colombus) began a lifelong plan to bring pride to the Colon family. His plan was to build the "Biblioteca Colon", which would rival the Library of Alexandria, and won approval from the Vatican. Unfortunately in 1522, Colon was killed when his sailing vessel sunk in the Caribbean. What if the library had been successfully constructed in c. 1539 (roughly the amount of time estimated to acquire funding and construction).
@Benett, to give me the answers that you've been asked about that map, Cuba and Puerto Rico isn't part of Mexico because both colonies are still part of Spain due to long colonization and long-term effects of Spanish Revolution of 1790s.
Cuba and Puerto Rico are part of Spain as the populace had granted full complete rights but still considered as an insular region of Spain due to similar culture and language with on par with the peninsular/metropolitan Spanish mainland and of course, Spain has full parliamentary democratic system that the governmental system are similar to OTL France. Fidel Castro (PSDE) was the first insular Spanish president back fifty years ago while today, there are Puerto Rican and Cuban politicians in the Cortes Generals and Congress of Deputies.
