An enduring Bactria

The bad guys were the steppe nomads and the various Indians they fucked around with when they expanded to the Ganges.

Not much of a difference. Bactria wasn't as Hellenised as people claim it was. Only the elite was Greco-Macedonian.

I'm not so sure I'd buy that.

It presumes the elite was living in some bubble that had no interactions with the rest of India. If this was so, why were the motifs for the earliest Gandharan artwork Hellenistic in origin?

Oh God, I hate the wikipedia pages on Bactria. It was written by some nationalist sitting in his mother's basement.
