An Edge in Washington

I would be interested to see what sort of policy decisions President Edge would make and how his life would play out post-POTUS (I could see a guy like Edge returning from the Presidency to briefly return to the Governorship of New Jersey). I have always been interested in this guy who seemed infinitely political, but I have no guess on how his administration would affect the course of history.

I hope someone knowledgeable answers this one.

EDIT: If Edge wins again in '29, will FDR still naturally succeed him? Assuming the Great Depression still occurs, would it be blamed upon Edge as it was Hoover? And if so, would Edge have handled this any more effectively?

Edge was a wet, would he be able to repeal Prohibition or minimize the list of banned drinks, something like the OTL Cullen-Harrison Act?

I think this is very, very likely. It might also make him look better as a President in hindsight after the economic collapse is associated with his administration.

I wish I had more information available to me to deduce what an Edge Twenties would look like, and how it would affect the party into the war years.

A Walter Evans Edge expert would be a nice thing to be able to quicksearch right about now...

Bump.

I've been looking for facts but can't find much to suggest things would be far different from OTL until FDR in '33, excepting an earlier repeal of prohibition.

That in itself presents butterflies...
