Holà, everyone !
I've been wondering for a while about a possible timeline dealing with China. Nevertheless, I have many questions to do that... My vision of a super china would be an industrialized country possessing overseas colonies, just like Europe in OTL.
In my opinion, a possible POD to manage it would be during the Song dynasty : was that plausible that China industrialized just like England in OTL during the 17th century ? That would be very early, around 1000 AD. I think that seeing this country developping powder and guns would change the meaning of history. That would certainly cause some changes during the early history of China, like for instance the problem of the northern Song dynasty or Mongol invasions... What would be the chinese territory resulting of those consequences ?
Another point of interest for me would a possible chinese colonial empire : was that plausible that, for some reason, the chinese empire decided to expand ? Which regions or continents would have been concerned ? In my opinion, the Pacific ocean was the best probability, but I'm pretty certain that a chinese empire à la Great Britain would have been difficult to manage. Nevertheless, your opinions interest me
EDIT : You get a cookie if China colonized parts of America (maybe not in the spanish way with slavery and genocides) + another one if the Song empire pushed the mongols invadors away and if Gengis Khan decided to destroy Europe instead.
