An earlier (and more merciful) Brest-Litovsk

Germany has more troops to throw against the western front, although I am not sure if this has any impact at all.
With the end of the war, I'd expect the Bolsheviks to do better in the Russian civil war, should it not be butterflied away, as they have brought peace earlier, and there's been little opportunity for warlords to infest the parts of western Russia which would have otherwise been occupied by Germany.

This could lead to a win for the Central Powers. They'd have perhaps a million more soldiers to throw at the Allies in the Spring Offensive. Oh, by the way, the Germans wanted Livonia in the original treaty negotiations, as well.

I don't know, that's not what my sources tell me (and I don't mean wiki). Besides, they'd only occupied Courland and Riga by that point.

Ouch, my bad. *sigh* Sometimes I get Livonia and Courland confused. Definitely Courland, though.
