This is a very simple idea for a great war timeline with a neutral Britain. How likely is what I've written below to ocure?

February 10, 1904- Japan declares war on Russia

March 15, 1904- Lionel James, war correspondent for The Times, sends his first message on board the SS Haimun

April 15, 1904- Russia announces its intentions to seize "any" ships owned by neutral countries that has radio equipment that could potentially give away their military positions to their enemies.

POD- April 17, 1904- James decides to ignore the threats and continues his work.

August 12, 1904- The SS Haimun is boarded by the Russians. James is arrested for espionage.

August 14, 1904- The Times newspaper announces the arrest. Popular opinion is with Lionel James. Opinion of Russian's greatly damaged.

October 21, 1904- The Russian Baltic Fleet fires on British trawlers it mistakes for Japanese torpedo boats in the North sea, in what would be known as the Dogger Bank Incident.

October 22, 1904- Demands throughout Britain to Join the war and support Japan against these "Pirates".

October 23, 1904- Britain begins to mobilise for war. Russia agrees to look into the incident.

October 24, 1904- Britain demands the release of Lionel James, compensation for the victims and the internment of those responsible.

October 26, 1904- France convinces Russia to agree to the British demands.

November 4, 1904- The Times produces an article by Lionel James detailing the conditions of his arrest. The story is heavily critical of Russia, and the anti-Russian feelings across the country increase.

January 2, 1905- Russian army surrenders at Port Arthur, the world is shocked. There are celebrations in Japan and Britain.

January 22, 1905- Bloody Sunday massacre of Russian demonstrators at the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg

January 23, 1905- British papers report 1000's of possible deaths at the Russian Demonstrations, riding the crest of anti-Russian sentiment. British government begin to question alliance with the French and Russians.

Russian Revolution of 1905 begins.

March 3, 1905- Tzar Nicholas of Russia creates the Duma to please the masses, however the violence has tainted relations with Britain and Germany sees a weak Russia that cannot defeat the Japanese or even a bunch of peasants.

March 10, 1905- Japanese capture of Mukden completes rout of Russian armies in Manchuria.

March 20, 1905- British newspapers report that the French funded half of the war for the Russians. This causes a serious strain on the recently good relations between the French and British. Several newspapers question sense in an Alliance with the French and instead maintain that isolation from European affairs is the best policy.

March 23, 1905- Lord Lansdowne is told to postpone talks with France about an alliance. There is significant disagreement in the cabinet.

March 31, 1905- German emperor William II asserts German equality with France in Morocco, triggering the Tangier or First Moroccan Crisis. Many believe he did this to test how strong the French/ British agreement was. It couldn't have happened at a worse time.
