An alternate match for Mary Tudor

Let's say Mary Tudor decides not to marry Philip of Spain. Whom does she choose to marry instead? (Wikipedia suggests Edward Courtenay and Reginald Pole.) Also, what implications would this have for Anglo-Spanish relations?

Courtenay would have eased relations with a number of English Lords, given the Xenophobia that seems to have been surrounding the Spanish Match, the fear that England would become a Spanish satellite. Plus, he had Yorkist blood, so any potential child they had would have united two of the many dilute claims to the English throne that were floating about at the time...

Foreign Princes - if Henri II's younger brother Charles survives his bout of plague - and isn't stupid enough to do something similar again - then it is possible he might be able to marry her, if she doesn't want a Spanish Match. Also, Louis of Beja is still alive and unmarried in 1553, so that's a possibility, as is João Manuel, Prince of Portugal, as long as she marries him in 1553, and he survives a little longer.

If Charles, Duke of Orléans had lived he would have soon married Anna of Austria (or less likely Maria of Spain) and João Manuel was always destined to marry Juana of Spain so they are out of question.

If Mary is willing to lower her aspiration (so a prince instead of a King) then Louis of Beja or Archduke Ferdinand are acceptable.
Or Mary’s first choice as husband, instead of offering his reluctant son as groom either accept her proposal or suggest his brother.
If Philip is still married to Maria Manuela or had already remarried (most likely to Margaret of Berry), then Karl V’s counter offer to Mary will be likely Archduke Ferdinand elevated as King of Burgundy/Netherlands/Lotharingia

Thanks for the replies, people.

A related question occurred to me just now. Mary's husband would presumably become King of England jure uxoris, but what would happen if Mary predeceased him? Would he remain king, or not?

ETA: Philip ceased to be King of England upon Mary's death, but as I understand it this was specifically mentioned in the marriage compact between them to allay fears that England would become a Spanish dominion. Depending on whom Mary marries, their marriage might not have explicit mention of this -- e.g., if she marries an English nobleman and hence there's be no threat of the country falling under foreign control -- in which case, I'm not sure what the default legal situation would be.

Most likely Mary’s husband will be King jure uxoris (unless he is James V of Scotland who had his own big claim to the English Crown) so he will stop to be King at Mary’s death
