I wrote a few paragraphs last night about a crazy and chaotic situation, what I will do now I will take steps back instead of steps forward, trying to make a plausible timeline to create this scenario.
With the Collapse of the American Empire in 1974 a new era for the continent began one even more tumultuous than the cold war. Many fragments emerged out of the chaos, by 1983 there were emerging nations in the former U.S and dozens of principalities in Mexico and Canada
In the South ( The Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and Louisiana) the provincial governors of the former American States attempted to retain local control. This became difficult as poverty and crime had already gripped the former cotton belt for decades. As it became obvious that the local government was unable to protect outlying communities hundreds of small towns and plantains declared sovereignty from the old governors and formed their militias to fight against the growing drug cartels. Semi-Feudalism began to emerge as towns people railed around particular strong men for protection. The black population who had never been fully accepted by the majority of people within the old states formed their own separate “nations” to protect themselves against an ever militant Klu Klux Klan.
A successful militia leader by the name of Dean Farley blamed the deplorable shape of the old southern states on the lack of “ “youth morals”, and of god’s favor, forging a small theocracy on the Gulf Coast. On October 3rd 1979 Farley declared a holy war on insubordination, interracial marriage, drugs, communism, atheism and other “immoral actives” Allying himself with Alabama Governor George Wallace III Farley quickly proposed an revival of the old CSA, his ranks swelling with volunteers to eradicate the so called “dirty evils” that menaced society. Farley called the old Governors to council on February 2nd 1980 to decide on the future of “The Chosen Land”.
In March with his army behind him Farley took the Governors to council in Atlanta Georgia. There the old governors unanimously voted for the Constitution of the revived CSA and declared war on the states who governors had not attended the council- William Rowel of West Virginia, John Davis of Arkansas and the U.S.S.R supported Peoples Republic of Seminole (Southern Florida)
Farley immediately marched through the south cementing his authority and was greeted as a Liberator. On this wave of support Farley launched a campaign against Arkansas. Before even reaching the headquarters of the local government he received news that the local people had risen against Davis. He also received Davis’s head. Quickly moving he approached West Virginia in the first week of August, using the little air force at he had to destroy the Capital at Charleston. Rowel rallied an enthusiastic defense and confronted Farley at Beckley. With inferior numbers and equipment Rowel and his army of 4,000 is surrounded. After refusing surrender terms Rowel and almost all of his supporters are killed on August 10th.
The next entry will be about the final collapse of the United States
