The power of the vice presidency has increased gradually, probably at its zenith during Bush the younger's regime, but even in modern times it seems like there's something to the idea of having a "power couple" be presented to voters. What if there was the notion of a triumvirate? As in the presidential nominee also presenting a popular figure as a cabinet member?
I think there might have been past possibilities of presidential "dream teams", as in them laying out their picks for a very well-qualified and capable cabinet, though I can't think of any right now.
