American style Socialism/communism/Fascism

Unless the founder of American Fascism was explicitly anti-racist and managed to push this program through by sheer ruthless will, there's still the traditional racism against blacks and Native Americans, plus anti-Asian and anti-Hispanic racism in the West.

I think the Melting Pot was more applicable to white immigrants. IIRC there were anti-miscegnation laws re: Asians in California until after WWII and re: blacks in the South until the 1960s.

I seem to remember the 'leader' of an American Fascist Party (it probably didn't have much of an existence beyond the internet) trying to do what Nietzsche was talking about with Starship Troopers-type ultranationalism, but the party 'membership' was constantly being 'infiltrated' by white supremacists. A great deal of it played out in the forum on the party's website, though factional debates at in-person conferences were also alluded to. He seemed a little paranoid about the party turning from black to brown and was frequently scapegoating those he saw as proponents of the latter. He also seemed to be fighting a losing battle as the only people drawn to the site were pretty ignorant anti-immigration types.

A fascist America might fight Nazi Germany and/or Imperial Japan if it feels its interests threatened.

Someone posted that a fascist Britain would still fight the Nazis, as it is not in Britain's best interest to have one power dominating Europe regardless of whatever ideological congruences there were.

The USSR and Red China engaged in border wars, after all.

One question is whether American fascism would be expansionist in nature as German National-Socialism or Italien fascism or rather status quo as in Spain. Both is plausible, the turbulent global situation in the Mid-20th-Century (pre-bomb) and the huge industrial capacity of the US might drive it to expansion. On the other hand, American fascism could also be strictly isolationsist. The latter could fight as in OTL, trying to prevent a strong Germany. The other variant could just as well gobble up th British Isles + Dominions + interesting bases, creating an Anglophone United States which uncontestedly rules the waves. Oceania...

Doubtful unless this Fascist America is ran by a complete and utter idiot. Any realistic leader might shoot for Central America. You could get away with that rather easily and make a reasonably good case for -why- you're doing it (The Canal and all).
