American Revolutionary War Help

Hello. First off, I am a new poster here. I hope to have some fun here though!

In about a month, I am going to be taking part of a two-body simulation of the American Revolutionary War. There will be a Second Continental Congress and the British Parliament. It starts in the summer of 1775.

I will be representing Alexander Wedderburn, the Earl of Rosslyn and Solicitor-General of the King. I need to actively portray him throughout this simulation of dealing with the traitors in America, along with all the other dealings of the British Empire.

I come seeking advice. Wedderburn has a passionate hatred for Ben Franklin, causing a dislike of the Americans. Otherwise, he was always ambitious and compromised anything for advancement. What would you suggest I do?

Thanks!

If you want to be really hardcore, skim through the parliamentary debate records for 1774-1775 and see if you can find any speeches by Wedderburn. Or considering that that might be pretty difficult and time-consuming, just skim through the speeches made by Lord North (the prime minister) or other members of his administration, which would be similar to Wedderburn's views.

Thanks for the advice. Funny thing about Wedderburn, he was both a Tory and a Whig. And when he first joined Parliament, he spent the entire time hating on North. It has been hypothesized that he was brought off by North when he became Solicitor, because he started liking him suddenly.

Interesting fellow, he was.

Any more ideas would also be great, if anyone has some.
