American Indian Wars after CSA Independence

Either way, though, he HAS a point here. The Natives WOULD be a convenient scapegoat for a furious-at-defeat Union to takje their anger out on.

That said, I doubt the Confederates would honor any agreement to them whatsoever either. Hell, I honestly think they might betray the Natives and not just displace/exterminate them, but enslave them, as well.

That's the same guy obsessed with the Trent Affair, Britain uber alles, hatred of the Union, and ultimately being banned for slavery apologism.

I'd take his reasoning on anything the Union would do with a grain - no, the full shaker - of salt.

Why take his reasoning on this matter with a shaker of salt? I posted his reasoning on the question above (slightly expanded by me), his original post is on here somewhere (frankly I am too lazy to find it and link it). If he (and I) are wrong refute the argument - it is all on the page in its totally. Even though he has been banned may years there is no justification for an ad Hominem attack with a smear based on his opinion of questions irrelevant to the issue.

If you think you need a shaker of salt to accept the argument then surely my post must be riddled with errors and it should be no difficulty at all for you to explain them?

What would happen to the aboriginals in a Confederate west is a much more difficult question. Simply to have won territory in the west would mean they did much better than in OTL and hence whilst they might be almost as heavily indebted as the Union they would probably have the wherewithal to service the debt (export earnings, external investment and economic expansion) and hence the economic imperative to ethnically clense the west of the Confederacy does not exist. Further they have less population (at least immediate after the end of the war) to move into the west so the impact of settlers could be quite small. Much of the area is desert an no one has found the Great Artesian Basin yet. Some aboriginals in modern day Oklahoma fought for the Confederacy and they might be the subject of less racism than those in the Union (or not). OTOH land is land and greed is greed so settlers will be driven west.

In conclusion I think the situation in a Confederate west depends entirely on what assumptions you make about Independence and what you think the key drivers are.
