What if instead becoming a Federation of States under the Constitution the 13 Colonies became a strict pious Theocracy ? So a Pod until the earliest days of English settlement is allowed. The resulting independent Theocratic America is not an analoge of the current US. Can be still a Republic but with a different Constitution and form of government. Problem ist the many sects of purist Protestantism but Puritans are always a good choice. Especially intersting would be a scenario in which Britain undergoes a forced Recatholisation with America being a heavan for Protestants. How would such an America deal with other catholic colonial powers on the Continent, how would relations with Native Tribes be ? How would Westward expansion look like ? Would emmigration be encouraged ( could see still many Lutheran Germans and Scottish coming) ? also the question is regarding the African slave trade. Would a Southern Planter class evolve with taking advantage of African Slave Trade ?
