American colonial amphibious ops which were successful instead...

Also just read the USMC handbook at the library today, which described certain amphibious actions conducted by American colonial forces that ended seriously fouled-up, such as the attacks on Cartegan de Indias (1741), & Penobscot Bay (1779). WI these actions had actually gone right ?

Well, all launched before the ARW are probably useless, as at the peace conferences to the various European Wars they probably just get returned to the original owners. During the ARW, it gives the US a bit more credibility on the diplomatic stage, and if they can hold the islands they take in the Carribean for any period of time, its an advantage at the peace table for assureing claims on the mainland. Quebec was already proven (When France gave it up) to be worth less then a single carribean island so they might push for that. Or just say hold onto the Bahamas with troops on them until British troops leave the Old Northwest forts.
