Would it be possible for the US to have allied Argentina early in it's history?
The main reason why they didn't was because they had a small dispute which led an American ship to occupy the Malvinas islands for a time.
Now if that didn't happen and during the war of 1812 or possibly another war against Britain the Argentines would ally with the United States in order to take back the Malvinas Islands perhaps?
Rough Idea of course but if the first Admiral of Argentina William Brown (who was originally from Ireland then lived in America, then moved to Argentina) had decided to use his influence in the Argentine government to push for a war against Britain? Of course they would have to get Russia and maybe France on their side because with Britain AND Spain and Brazil on their backs the Argentines would need backup and could only really take a couple British Islands.
