ON TO CANADA!!!
As we know during the war of 1812, the United States launched a successful invasion of the region formerly known as Canada led by Andrew Jackson. The treaty of Ghent was signed in 1813 and Great Britain ceded all claims in N America aside from Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, which would later be bought by America in 1820. After the war, the territories were reorganized into the Franch Region now called Napoleon, and the English speaking region renamed Monroe territory. Both would not achieve statehood until the end of the Mexican war.
