America looses the Revolutionary War but the Sout

What if the Americans lost the Revolutionary War and later on, when the British abolish slavery, what in OTL were the Southern states would rebel and this time succeed in winning independence?

EDIT: The title is supposed to be "America looses the Revolutionary War but the South revolts again later on because of slavery and gains independence"

It's an interesting question, but presuming that it occurs sometime in the 1820s or 1830s, how does Britain lose? I've always thought that such a war would cement British Empire Loyalism in the Americas, along the same lines that the Civil War cemented the authority of the Federal government.

I suppose if the French Revolution goes differently, Britain can easily be much weaker than it was OTL and may decide to let the South go peacefully. I have a hard time seeing that unless an uber-France is trying to break up BNA just as OTL Britain thought about doing to the Union.

Hence, I could see it happening if this becomes part of a major European conflict, but if it's a straight up revolt because of Wilberforcian attempt to abolish slavery in the British Empire, then RULE BRITANNIA.

Quite a long shot nothing favors the South in this WI. Also one appears to be forgetting that the British at least were offering some sort of financial compensation to the slaveholders.

Extremely unlikely IMO. The British were at the absolute peak of their power at this time, and if they still had control of the USA then that peak would be even higher.

Given that the CSA couldn't fight off the USA alone, they are hardly likely to beat what amounts to the USA + the British Empire are they?

Well, there's substantial room for change between 1776 and the 1820s. If the Revolutionary War is still fought, then the French revolution probably happens on schedule anyway. Hence, Britain will have all sorts of wars and all sorts of chances to lose power. Nevertheless, the industrial revoltuion probably continues to unfold, so I agree that baring further detail about intervening events, it's a slam dunk victory for the British Empire.

Forgive me for being an idiot sir but what has to happen with the French Revolution for Britain to get weaker?

Yeah, it could happen as part of a larger European conflict for the South to get backing from someone but what could that conflict be about?

Why the assumption that Britain would cut slavery when it did OTL? If the South is British, and slavery really was the lifeblood of King Cotton that drove Britain's industry, then whacking out the support of your own industrialization may have to wait awhile.

IMO if the ARW is still fought then they wouldn't be so keen on the British
and would not probably help, but would not hinder. Maybe French Rev
would help to decrease King's Power, maybe limited reigns or removal from
throne. If India revolted it could have kept them busy and they would have lost interest. Sanctions on the south for being obstenant, would have
resulted in cotton not being shipped, maybe they became unfriendly with
each other, and only minor skirmishes occured.
