America enforces prohibition bruttally

What if the united states government decided that during prohibition they will distribute deadly wood alchol into the rum runners and people selling illegal alchol, and by this logic anyone who breaks the law by drinking the alchol will be poisoned and killed or blinded , this would require a great deal of difficulty for 1920s/1930s police to do this, however I think it would be possible, what would happen if they did.

How would they do it on a massive enough scale? The stills poisoned the owners often enough anyway.

Doing so would require a very different sort of government and laws for the U.S.. Maybe a oppressive dictatorship could try it. Though even if U.S. was an oppressive dictatorship I don't think they could infiltrate every bootlegger.
This would require an omniscient government to enforce perfectly. Though if the government doesn't care about killing the innocent along with the guilty and crippling the economy they could always start making genocidal examples out of the places where they catch bootleggers. By which I mean killing everyone in every city and town, or nearest city or town for rural areas, where booze is found as a deterrent. Not saying I advocate it.
