We may think of the Amazon as some jungle, which it kinda is, but there is more and more evidence being uncovered that the pre-contact Amazon actually supported a large amount of people. But, what if the Amazon agricultural complex was more well, complex? Could we see trade with the Andean city-states? How would states develop and even function? Is it even possible?
